Got some yummy strawberry and banana crepes. Yes I'm a freak and this was the first crepe I've ever had - I really liked it! Great flavor. It was so large I wish we would have just shared because I ended up dumping half :/ pretty good coffee and teas. Note: yelp says opens at 9 am but they do not open until 10.

This location is a dedicated espresso/coffee shop in the style of Coffee Bean and Starbucks franchises, but a bit more intimate and spartan. The menu has all the usual coffee and tea choices, both hot and cold. In the Lake Arrowhead "village" area, it has little competition for what they are, so they were busy on Saturday morning at 10:00AM, 8/29/15, but I received my latte quickly. It was hot, which made me happy (which isn't always the case when I order them at other places), and very good. They have tables and chairs outside, so you can sit, enjoy your beverage and people watch, as I did.

I wasn't even planning on going there, but the friends I was with had been there before and said it was great...and it was!! Super nice and personable staff. There's a young lady there that does a spot on Chewbacca impression. Worth it, just for that! The baked goods are terrific and actually baked by someone who works there. I had a fresh blueberry scone...best I've ever had! They have a nice variety of shaken Iced teas. I'm a tea guy, so that was great. My friends loved their coffee, so we were all happy! They also have some little gifts available that are nice for when you want to bring something back for someone who didn't get to go to Lake Arrowhead with you. Price-wise, it's just a little more than Starbucks, but the friendly staff and the quality of the food and beverages make it all well worth it.

Extremely poor customer service. We stood in line for over five minutes after the lady in front of us finished ordering, simply because the cashier and her were chatting about work. Nobody said, "I'll be right with you, or even acknowledged us waiting (and we had another party waiting behind us who eventually just sat down). Neither batista had even started to make her drinks yet because they chose to chat rather than address customer orders. After 7 minutes we walked out. Disappointing!

Disgusting microwave food and the barista asked her boss how to make my drink. Needless to say it was gross and took forever. Would love to support a small chain but this place makes it hard.

First off, consistently bad coffee, expresso, etc.. If you want something else, a dry muffin perhaps, go for it. We waited a long time, much too long for our drinks. And to top it all off, the drinks were not something that belongs inside your body. Burnt tasting beans. I'm not a fan of corporate coffee chains, but when mom and pops produce a subpar product, sometimes you just have to go Starbucks. Really wanted to like this place as it's one of the only small, boutique coffee spots on the mountain. But, OMG, don't serve coffee if you can't actually make a good drink.

Great little spot. Crepes are great. Lots of pastry and drink selections. Nice environment.

We had the Thanksgiving Pannini and we made a chicken, pepper jack cheese, roasted red peppers, Chipotle mayo in chiabatta. Both were absolutely amazingly delicious!!!! We will be back

The food was better than the drinks. Either way is not worth the price. I probably would not go here again.

I am on vacation and very excited to be here. I stopped in today jan 23rd at 3pm and I have to say the lady behind the counter was the RUDEST lady I've ever met. She practically yelled at me when I tried to order. I wanted to buy a tea pot and she was so rude to me I chose to buy it on line. This would have been a nice day to sit outside in the sun and drink some tea, but the lady behind the counter completely turned me off from the store. You need new staff ASAP.

I wish there was a way to give less than a star. This review is for service. Specifically noted that we were vegan - they said they could make the drink with no dairy. As we watched them make it they put dairy powder in. When we ultimately got our drinks they were half full. When we asked if they could add some soy milk the barista said no but she could add ice - it was a $6 coffee frappe. We asked for a refund and left.

They do have a wide variety of loose leaf teas that are good. The coffee is just ok and the pastries are usually good. They do made to order crepes and panini which are a little overpriced but decent. The service is SLOW. Always. It doesn't matter if it is packed or empty. They just seem unorganized and grumpy. The hours open are also inconsistent. It great if you are already in the Village, but don't count on for a early morning coffee or evening meeting place with friends.

Super cute tea house in the Arrowhead Lake Village. They serve all types of black, green, and white teas along with most coffee drinks. Their gelato is creamy and well made. Great place for a small bite or a morning lift.

Just got coffee. I travel everywhere with my own mug. You know, earth first and all. Places that make you put coffee in their paper cup so you can pour it into your own travel mug drive me nuts. We had our mugs and presented them to the clerk & were told the coffee had to be served in their paper cup. How is it of any benefit to waste the cup? None. And to top it off, there was no recycling can to put the wasted paper cup, wasted plastic top. The coffee was good.

This Tea House is a bit smaller than a Starbucks but offers a good array of coffees and teas. I had the hot chocolate which was made with dark chocolate. Very tasty. The service was quick and the workers nice. All around good experience.

  • Don M.

The crepes and panini sandwiches are pretty good but pricey. But it's a better option for an early breakfast than MacDonald's or Subway which are right around the corner.

We made a quick stop here for some breakfast before skiing. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. It turned out that I waited 20 minutes for the order. What took them so long to make this simple sandwich??? The worse thing was, it did not even taste good, but it was made to order so it was very hot. The tiny little sandwich was pricy too, $4.xx. The bottom line is, don't come to this place if you are in a hurry!

My wife and I went in to purchase a hot chocolate for her on our anniversary. We were second in line and had made eye contact with the owner before the customer in front of us was finished. Instead of helping us, he happily helped the customer behind us. I was frustrated, but I let it go because we were having a pretty good day and we were not in a hurry. I ordered my wife the hot chocolate and he simply stated "size" in an off tone that was not friendly but not totally rude. I paused because I was a bit taken back by how direct he was after being so friendly to the people that he helped before me. I turned and asked my wife and she said the white cup so that is what I told him. He never said anything else until he stated the price, requesting payment. I paid and stepped aside. I figured he was just a person with a very mellow personality. He then proceeded to help the customer behind us and was full of friendliness. At this point, I told myself that I would ask my wife if she noticed once we got our of the shop. We received her hot chocolate after the people that were helped behind us because they didn't hand our cup back until after. Whatever. Once we got out of the shop, I didn't have to mention that I was treated very differently, my wife noticed and asked me if I noticed. I was going to go into the coffee shop and ask the owner why I was treated so oddly compares to everyone else, but forget it. I decided to post on here because it is very obvious that he did not treat me like everyone else. I hate posting bad reviews but I read through some others and noticed that other people have also experienced this behavior from the, I'm assuming, same older gentleman. I won't say that I will not be back because I'm not going to let someone ruin my experience in Lake Arrowhead, but I feel like it out a damper on our anniversary and because of that, here is my review. Owner, put a smile on or something. You need to be equally nice to everyone paying too much for your coffee.

  • Keith K.

Customer service mediocre. Smoothies aren't smoothies they're like daiquiri's. It's not real fruit it's pre made sugar garbage. Not good for kids. When I asked her if you pick numerous fruits she looked at me like I was speaking Greek. Pretty "vibey" in there.

  • Amanda A.

Love this place! Everyone is extremely friendly and they have delicious teas. Their baked goods are fantastic and they also have a large selection of gluten free items. If you're in the lake arrowhead village, you must stop by the tea exchange to try it out!!

  • Lorraine S.

Small place in Lake Arrowhead Village with a wide variety of loose leaf teas, smoothies, coffee drinks, and pastries such as scones and cookies. I ordered a 16 oz. acai blueberry blast ($3.15). It was a delicious and refreshing drink, but they load up SO MUCH ice in the drink that after a few sips, it's gone. I also had to take off a few stars for their lack of customer service. One of the baristas didn't bother to help me out and she seemed very disinterested. Not a place I'd revisit.

    (1)
  • Richard L.

I really enjoyed their iced blended mocha. Great consistency and flavor! Next time I will try some of their baked goodies. It is located in the middle of the Lake Arrowhead Village right near many of the outlet stores.

What a lovely place, filled with lovely people, lovely delicious food, and refreshing tea. My husband decided to take me to Lake Arrowhead for my B-day and during our wait for the tour , we decided to stop by this place. We ordered vegetarian crepe and chai ice tea (I have never tried it before). I have to admit, the food did not only come fast but it was fresh, mouthwatering , AMAZING !! I was very curious to try the tea, that to my surprise turned out to be a perfect pick for this hot day! I am def. coming back to this place anytime I visit Lake Arrowhead!

  • Daphne H.

Unfortunately this was not my place to go for tea or coffee. It was a nice sunny day on Sunday and it was beginning to warm up and seeing all the customers walk around with their own shaken ice teas I thought to myself I MUST have a tea because I needed something refreshing. It's a very clean store. Lovely staff and well-kept. The prices were OK but the taste and flavor wasn't worth it. I ordered an acai blueberry blast shaken ice tea and it was so bland. I know it was tea but I ordered a SWEETENED ice tea. I had to add some honey and sugar to get it to have taste but even with that I still couldn't enjoy my drink. If you really love teas, id stick to Starbucks or Teavana. Even the mcdonalds sweet tea was better than the tea I got from here. Aside from that I won't be returning for their drinks.

We was 3 time 4.30pm there and ask for crepes - and you can not believe this - the salesperson told us the have to clean the crepes machine we allways stop 4.30pm. What kind of stupid onwer running this business - also they use frozen strawberrys - wow that fresh - this store is dead for us -

  • Susan M.

The crepes here are really delicious. They are large enough to split for lunch so you can get another to split for dessert! My favorite tea here is the 'Lime in the Coconut'. The help is very sweet and the owners are really great, also.

  • Tuyen V.

Food: served on a plastic togo plate. I ordered a chicken mushroom spinach crepe but they forgot to add chicken in the crepe. It was kind of expensive for just a crepe. ($7+). The hot tea is good though, and pretty reasonable priced. They have a big collection of green, black and white tea in a book to choose from. Place: small with a few seatings indoor and outdoor. Service: ok. They bring food to your table. They take a long time (15'-20') to prepare the crepe though. So if you order that, expect to wait around a little.

Best Iced Tea I have ever had, and my favorite place to get tea. The Hawaiian Rasberry Rush is by far my favorite. The Gelato is great too! I am not giving it 5 stars though, because the customer service is ok. They never seem to happy to be working or taking orders. A

  • Jerry E.

A nice place to relax and have a refreshing drink while exploring the village. Their coffee selection is average, but they have all sorts of tea options. The pricing is decent, I'd say just right for a private coffee/tea house in the mountains. I wish they had more pastries to choose from. The dining area only seats like 10 people, which is fine during the pleasant summer days, but very crowded during cold winter visits. Overall, a pleasant stop when you're in the area.

  • Cyndi A.

I came in with my mom and sister for a quick bite to eat and decided I won't ever go back. Every time I've been here the food has taken forever, it is decent but I rather get subway which is faster and in my opinion seems fresher. This time I tried to order two panini and the lady told me it was going to be 45 minutes at least, there was nobody else in line or in front of us... I was grateful she was honest but why have such a large menu if you can't produce the product in a timely fashion... There was only one person running the place. Only one person to make drinks and food really seems like the owner is being cheap, which only leads to losing customers like myself and my family. Won't bother going back the food isn't good enough for that kind of wait.

  • Mary C.

What incredibly rude staff! Put in a coffee order, hadn't even finished asking for nonfat milk, when the cashier huffed, said she had to start all over again like it was the biggest inconvenience in her life. This place needs to work on customer service.

    (1)
  • Megann M.

My review is based on the hideous customer service. I went in to buy a bag of tea for a friend. I did not require any employee assistance is choosing a tea. Upon checkout on their tablet POS system I was prompted by the horribly rude employee to "choose one of these to tip us"... as in she expected me to choose a percentage box to tip her for ringing up my order! When she directed me to do so she purposefully set it to the 15% option. This makes transactions seem extremely confrontational when someone doesn't feel like you deserve a tip for just making a simple transaction. She never looked up from whatever she was doing and I had to literally ask her if she needed anything else from me. She didn't offer a receipt, didn't say thanks for coming in... nothing! She didn't say a word other than prompting me to tip her for ringing up my one item. SUCH A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! I will never be back and I will definitely warn others.

First time here. Ordered an iced mocha and the Hawaiian Raspberry Rush Tea. Both were great, but the tea was fantastic!! So good! Definitely coming back when we are back in the area!

Great seasonal drinks and definitely the best pumpkin chai latte on the mountain! Can't wait for fall to roll around for this seasonal delight. The staff has seemed to changeover in the last couple of months and could seriously use some better training.

I waited towards the register while the young lady made a coffee for the customer before I arrived. During that time, an older man came out, cleaned the bakery section where the muffins were at, then proceeded to help the man behind me. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt (kind of), even though there shouldn't be excuses. I was in no hurry. The price was nothing short of your Starbucks chain. I ordered a blended Caramel drink, and it was loaded with sugar. Father ordered a latte and mother ordered a mocha. All average. I rarely rate anything below a 4 star because I usually only go to places based on Yelp reviews w/ ratings of 3 1/2 min. or better. So this review is rare for me to rate at 3, given that everyone else rated higher. Place was small, ambiance was average, metal chair seating area outside was scattered, workers on the rough during a holiday doing repairs?????? Guess there's not much choice other than McDonalds for coffee (which actually isn't too bad). Would I go again...yeah, probably, and solely because options are limited.

I'm not a fan. During a family day trip to Lake Arrowhead we stopped in after a ROUGH day of enjoying brunch and feeding ducks. This will be my last visit. The workers were unfriendly and the coffee was overpriced and of poorer quality than I expected.

Just what Lake Arrowhead has needed!! This place is great! A plentiful tea selection brewed to perfection, and a wonderful assortment of pastries!

    (5)

Beautiful scenery, GREAT loose-leaf tea, and passable crepes (sorry, I have had better). This shop is small, but delightful. Out front is a few tables to sit and take in the fresh air. Will visit again.

Loved this place! We came here while we were on vacation in Lake Arrowhead and I'm really glad we did. I got the Nutella Banana crepe and the Matcha Green Tea Frappuccino. Absolutely loved both the crepe and the drink. My mom got the Spinach and Sundried Tomato crepe (which they said is their most popular) and to me it tasted like Italian food. It was delish. I don't drink loose leaf tea but they sure had TONS to choose from. And everything looked great. I did overhear the manager say they brew all their tea after it's ordered because they have over 150 to choose from, so it's not a super quick place. The crepes take a while to come out too, but it's worth it. They're located in Lake Arrowhead Village and they have a BIG menu. You can make your own panini too! The service is friendly, there's seating both inside and outside, and they have a little selection of gifts and books inside, some of which were very funny. It does get kind of crowded in there because it's a small place so prepare yourself for that if you're there at a busy time. If I lived in the area I'd be a regular at the Tea Exchange, without a doubt.

  • Neen F.

I had the Moroccan Mint tea over ice and it was perrrrrrfect. I'm a big mint green tea lover and The Tea Exchange brewed it just perfectly. No rush, just wait patiently. Plus I bought a box of Coconut Chai tea to bring home. Smells divine. They have a great selection of loose leaf and bagged teas for purchase as well as what they offer on the menu. I came back here later in the day and got a gelato: the spumoni and the bavarian mint. SOOOOO gooood. I love Lake Arrowhead and I love the village where this little Tea and Coffee (and so much more) gem is located. They have seats inside and outside where you can sit and people watch in the middle of the village. I found the owner and his staff very friendly and happy, plus I chatted it up with another patron for a bit about his laptop. Everyone here is friendly and knows each other or they're vacationing - I love this vibe. Next time, I'm getting a crepe.

  • Jeanine L.

Very large menu but they have great drinks no matter what you choose. They are the only place I have found on California that has a chair tea frappe and it was just as good as what I had I'm Canada. They do have crepes and gelato. Very limited seating inside but no worries because there is plenty outside.

Bottom Line: This place makes enough good stuff to keep you sitting out front for two hours, and totally drain your wallet.....in a good way My wife and I were looking for a place for dinner while wandering around down here and she liked the look of this place. So did I - they have SANDWICHES - my favorite food. I ordered the Thanksgiving special and the wife had a different sandwich...... I forget which. I liked the TG sandwich very much. it had all the things you love from thanksgiving all right there. I wasn't crazy about the bread because it was filled with walnuts or something..... a brave choice but I wasn't too into it. The wife liked her sandwich very much as well. After we finished the wife went in to get a coffee and she comes out with this huge grin. "what did you order" I asked With the huge smile of a 3 year old with a water cannon she tells me they make crepes. So we had a strawberry crepe, she had coffee and I had some tea. We sat in the sunset, listened to the concert and dropped about $50 on super yummy food and we enjoyed ourselves very much! What a great spot!

We were in Lake Arrowhead for a short vacation. I am always looking for a place with good coffee and/or tea. And here, I found both though I favored the teas over the coffee. My favorites are the Acai Blueberry Green Tea and Pomegranate Green Tea. I haven't tried every tea but will try more variety if I come across The Tea Exchange. Side note, the ham and cheese croissant was yummy along with the cheese pretzel. The cookies were good. Service was okay. I learned the names of the girls during one of my visits. The first time I came here, Cassie was annoyed with Emily since either Emily is a new employee or she didn't know how to make the drinks and where everything was located. I am going to assume the former. Cassie was short and annoyed with Emily. Regardless, Emily was still friendly. There was never a long line but be ready to wait a little. Understandable if the tea requires a small preparation time.

Tea was good but the baristas in there were horrible! Went to this place 2 days in a row while in Arrowhead. Thought I'd give them a second chance but had the same experience. The baristas were rude and on their cell phones while making drinks! Pull it together!

    (1)
  • Helen B.

The service was mediocre at best. Our order was forgotten and we ended up waiting over 20 minutes for our crepe. All the while, they were making crepes for patrons that arrived far later than us! So frustrating! I understand that it is a 3-day weekend, but it is really not cool to lose orders and then treat patrons as if they are an inconvenience. On a positive note, the crepe was delicious, as were the other items we ordered from the menu.

Cute coffee/ sandwich shop! The paninis were good but the ham and cheese. Toss any was amazing!!!

  • Vanessa F.

I stumbled upon this place while walking around the village trying to kill time waiting to be seated for breakfast. We went in to grab a cup of coffee, which I got and it was one of the best cups I've had. Not sure if that was a result of it actually being really good or it being 30 degrees outside. It wasn't until after I ordered and had the coffee in had that I noticed all the teas lining the back wall. I opened, sniffed, and they all smelled so amazing that I'd instantly regretted getting coffee. They have a large selection to choose from of some amazing teas.

The Thanksgiving panini and pumpkin pie chai arts to die for! If you're in the area in the Fall, order this!

  • Kristy B.

I love this place! We have a place in Arrowhead and every time we are up there I stop at Tea Exchange. The owner is very friendly. I've had so many different teas that I cant tell you which is the best. I've liked them all. Their made to order paninis are amazing. Croissants are really good too. If its a hot day don't forget to try their gelato its very good. Tea Exchange is located in the village so when your done shopping stop by.

    (5)
  • David V.

Pretty cool shop. The location is quaint, and they have a very hand-on approach of selling tea. Wide selection of loose leaf teas and I'm sure you can get each one brewed as a cup. The prices are not too bad and the service is usually friendly. My wife and I bought our very first cast iron tetsubin here! My only complaint: I cannot stand seeing tea stored in glass or clear containers. Pet peeve. You can definitely tell in the taste of the teas that they were not stored correctly. Great job otherwise!

    (4)
  • Kat U.

Positives first, the panini I ordered was really tasty as was the Moroccan mint iced tea. However, the service was horrible. Super slow, the cashier was rude while taking the order (not to mention they didn't know where the panini order forms were), there were no napkins, a worker was texting and talking on her phone while making drinks, and another worker's cigarettes were hanging out of her back pocket. Just very unprofessional, which is a bummer considering the food and teas are really good. Probably won't be back.

  • Lauren K.

When I took the stop at Arrowhead village today I considered going to Starbucks for my normal overpriced frappe but instead I took a chance. The atmosphere of the place is very hipster and the menu has as much variety as a rainbow that includes teas, smoothies, crepes, and frappes. I got the strawberry banana smoothie and it was delish. The only complaint I have is that it was a little sweet by the end. I also got a few honey sticks. Unfortunately, the lemonade flavor was sold out, but all the flavors I got were wonderful. If you're in the area you'll regret it if you miss this sweet place

I had to pop into the Tea Exchange since I love a good cup of tea. Except that I didn't have tea.I had a white chocolate mocha. And I almost forgot about this place, until G reminded me, "Didn't you want to go to that tea place for breakfast?" OH YEAH! He's super awesome like that. They open at 8 am on weekends and 9 am on weekdays, but I guess that varies depending on the season. We had a spinach and feta croissant for about $3, my white mocha and G had a pumpkin latte made with real pumpkin! He liked his, I thought mine was really good, and the croissant was so good, we got a turkey and swiss one afterwards. Great light breakfast! Service was good and friendly. They accept cc. Bummed when I found out that there's one right here in Manhattan Beach. Talk about a buzz kill.

I was in Lake Arrowhead for a conference recently and found this place on Yelp. Glad I did. Had a delicious Chai Tea Latte with Almond Milk. Service was friendly and I enjoyed the ambiance of the lake and village. Made me forget I was working for a few minutes. Till next time...stay thirsty my friends!

Great gelato options here (try the s'mores), and they don't skimp on the servings. Ordered a pina colada smoothie which was delicious and filling. Staff is very friendly, especially with children! The reason this place is getting five stars is because they were playing "Freebird" when I entered....FREEBIRD!!!!

I can't believe I waited so long to come here. In the freezing cold weather, nothing sounds better than a hot drink! The pumpkin chai was delicious, and made with fresh pumpkin. I also enjoyed taking sips out of my niece's peppermint hot chocolate. The following day, it had warmed up a bit. I got the lime in a coconut iced tea. It was sweet and refreshing. My husband got the orange ice tea. It wasn't sweet, but had great flavor. The best part was the price. First day 5 drinks for $14. Next day 4 drinks for $13. Take that Starbucks.

This place is a tea lovers haven! They have a wall of loose leaf teas to buy and make at home -- all of which you can also order a cup of tea to try! They also have some yummy looking gelato and an amazing selection of cookies and other baked goods. Perfect place to warm up on a cold mountain day! :-)

bumping this up to 5 stars because they offer unsweetened almond and coconut milk which is awesome for anyone who wants a latte but on a low carb diet.

AMAZING hot chocolate (when you get either the cherry or caramel flavors), satisfying iced green teas, such a huge selection of teas, and we tried something new on our last visit called green chai peach. That's enough to make us come back again and again when we visit Lake Arrowhead. Friendly service, good prices, there you go.

It's called Tea Exchange, but don't be fooled. This place serves much more than just tea. Don't get me wrong... I love good 'ole loose leaf teas, but this place has major variety! Come for crepes, coffee, baked goods, gelato, and if you still have room, some delicious tea. I went in to see what loose leaf blends they had, but I stayed for the lemon gelato. What can I say? Gelato gets me every time. They have a large variety of loose leaf teas that you can purchase in addition to their hot/cold beverage menu. The hot chai latte was delicious! Just the right amount of spice. Great sweet and savory crepe menu. Go for a meal or a snack, either one. They had several gelato flavors to pick from as well. Only bummer was that my lemon gelato had a smidge too much lemon peel in it... to the point of bitterness. It didn't drive me off, though. I'd get more... and the serving size was generous for $3.50. This place has something for just about everyone. Nice coffee-house atmosphere and major variety. I'm definitely a fan.

Great made-to-order paninis, excellent tea selection - only bummer is that they're not open till 10am, or I would have gotten an espresso drink this morning and could rate that too. Altogether a great early dinner in Arrowhead Village that didn't break the bank, and that's not easy to find.

Tea lattes that will knock your socks off! Food is good and espresso shots done well. My only complaint is that they have one coffee to choose from, but have coffee in their name. Nevertheless, this place had an incredible tea and food menu!!

They have some delightful tea, pretzels, and gelatoes. The coconut/macadamia and bavarian mint gelatoes were very good. The spinach pretzels were good. The moroccan mint chocolate tea was very refreshing and good. The Tropical Mango Coconut was pretty good but you couldn't really taste the mango and coconut. We were in and out of this place several times when we were up at Lake Arrowhead so it had to be good for us to do that. Price is reasonable. $3.50 for a scoop of gelato.

As far as tea places go- this place can't be beat. I've purchased quite a few of their loose leaf for both hot and iced teas and they are very reasonable, and extremely unique! They're one of the few great places on the mountain locals are glad to have around!

While up in Lake Arrowhead this past weekend, we stumbled upon The Tea Exchange. This small, unassuming place is a real find! Not only do they have a huge selections of loose-leaf teas and many coffee drinks, they have delicious edibles. You can create your own panninis by simply filling out your choices on a simple form they provide. I had the Moroccan Chocolate Mint ice tea which was wonderful and super refreshing. If you are in the Lake Arrowhead Village and need a hot, or cold drink, this is definitely the place to go. As I mentioned, the selection of loose-leaf tea is staggering for such a small, out-of-the-way shop. Some very nice tea pots and mugs as well.

My husband and I decided enjoy some gelato and tea tonight. We were thrilled about our new find as we arrived at The Tea Exchange. We walked in and the place looked closed. We asked the girl behind the counter if the shop was closed, and her response was "Ummm it depends on what you want". She looked slightly aggravated at our entrance. If the store was closed and we came in after hours, it would have been nice for there to either have been a "closed" sign at the door or a friendly greeting letting us know the store was closed. My husband was craving tea so he purchased his tea. I ended up not getting my gelato bc I hate spending money at places where I feel un-welcomed. Anyway, we purchased the tea and she did not say any other word to us besides the cost of the tea. My husband said the tea tasted good, but not for the price of bad customer service. I'm disappointed at this experience, but I hope this helps other potential shoppers know what they are getting into.

Good veggie crepes, although they used canned mushrooms, I'm not a fan of anything canned. I am on a personal mission to find quality healthy food on the mountain (a challenge, let me tell you!) But this place fits the bill. Despite my discovery of the canned mushrooms, I really enjoyed my crepe. The crepes are made fresh to order, they have an amazing selection of drinks and gluten free cookies!! A healthy nook in Lake Arrowhead, thank goodness!!

My Girlfriend Janine and I try to get up to Lake Arrowhead at least twice a year. I have to always stop by the Tea Exchange and get my "FIX" of Oolong Tea's. Nothing beats Loose Leaf Teas and this is one of my favoriate places to celebrate with a cup of tea. Relax and breath in the peace of the lake.

The best tea place I've ever been to. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Loose leaf tea, they have their own brewing system that they developed themselves. Amazing tea. Loved it. If you're expecting the tea to come fast then go to Starfucks and pay extra for two tea bags. Tea must be brewed for the best taste. Amazing that it's here in a shopping center.

I went to this Tea shop with great expectations, I was really hoping, based on their wonderful website, to like it more. Unfortunately, it is not worth a second visit. The service is what ruined it for me. I was waiting in line to order tea and a crepe when I observed the girl at the cash register giving the older (white hair older) gentlemen in front of me an attitude for apparently not retrieving his order fast enough. After he leaves she tells me, "First he asks what's taking it so long then he's not even here when it's ready!" Ahem, I am a customer too, and from what I witnessed, I'm on his side! She'll get no empathy from me. However, I was VERY nice to her because I was afraid she would talk badly of me to the next customer as well. So my order is called, and keep in mind this place is tiny, not a lot of space to move around quickly past people in line, I notice that she attempted to bring over my order to the end of the counter, realized I was taking too long to move toward her and decides to drop my order off at the end of the counter with out so much as eye contact. So I have to maneuver my way through the cramped space to get my crepe just before another customer almost took it because he assumed it was his since she just plopped the plate down right in front of him and walked away. So I'm starting to see why the other gentleman was so frustrated. The service just sucked. The other woman behind the counter was not much better. I was trying to make several decisions regarding loose leaf teas for Mother's Day gifts and I sensed her growing impatience with every question I asked. I decided to cut my order in half and just purchase the tea that was in my hand at that moment, I just wanted to leave! The food was average, nothing to return for... It was sort of like a REALLY TINY Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, nothing worth that drive. So overall the visit was a "D" (a notch above an F because my tea was good). The only time the younger girl cracked a smile was when her friend popped her head in the door to ask about her weekend plans. As for the tea I did buy, it was excellent! Pricey but a real treat if you're looking to indulge in a wonderful loose leaf blend. But I'd avoid the trip and the attitude and just order online!!!

Very good food and drinks, just make sure you have plenty of time as the staff is slower than sloths trying to F in a vat of honey...

I am completely addicted to the Island Breeze Tea! It is so good. I visit the Tea Exchange in the village and also buy the loose tea to brew at home. This shop is very nice and has great options. I like the stuffed pretzels and my daughter loves the turkey croissants.

I love tea! This is one of my favorite places in the Village. If you would like fresh brewed tea in any flavor this is the place. You can buy tea too! They also serve great panini's too!

I am a huge tea drinker, and their tea selections are amazing but it seems to be lacking in other areas. Their crepes are not special at all and the bakery goods are dry and not tasty. But they are lacking the most in the service. Every time I have gone in there, I have been treated terribly by the employees(except when the owners have served me) and I now refuse to go in there because of that reason. I hope they improve in these areas.

We had a party of 10 and the service was excellent, as was the food and drink! I had a made-to-order panini that was just right, and many others had crepes which they raved about. The selection of teas and other drinks was extensive and unique. I would highly recommend The Tea Exchange for a quick drink or a wonderful lunch!

Since I decided to quit drinking so much coffee, I am drinking tea and it's really fun because there are so many different kinds to try. So everywhere we go, I look for a tea place to stop in. I really liked this place. The girls who work there are very helpful. I ended up buying the Lake Arrowhead Chai, Fairytale blend and Pirates Bounty loose tea. So far I like all of them. And the best part is that I can buy them online cuz I don't know when we'll be driving up there again. I will definitely go back when I'm in Lake Arrowhead again!

I have been having lunch here roughly once a week for the past 7 months. The crepes are tasty as are the smoothies and fresh teas. That said, I was surprised when, 2 weeks ago, the lady working added $0.50 to my bill for 2 cups of water. I had never been charged for water before, why would I be? I am a paying customer having a full lunch and drinks there, and do so every week! I asked what this charge was for and was told, matter-of-factly, "we charge for water, that is how much a cup costs US." I replied, "Yes, but I'm a paying customer, buying 2 lunches, and I'm in here every week and never been charged before, this is silly." She replied, "Well, we charge $0.25 per cup of water." I explained that it is considered just plain proper to provide water to paying customers, nevermind I patronize you ALL the time! I received a blank look and no real response. Came back in there for lunch today, WHILE I was ordering, before I paid, she asked "do you want water today?" I replied, :Of course." Then she added $0.50 to my bill. This is so little and SO tacky. There is no other place on the mountain I've been to that does this. Until this experience, I'd been telling all my friends, family, hair dresses, masseuse, etc. about how great this place is and how friendly and tasty. This repeated petty behavior has greatly changed my opinion, I may not be back. My suggestion: Keep up with the good food and drinks and provide ice water to your patrons should they ask!!!
